So we had crypto, blockchain and Web3, we had a lot of hypes to be followed, And too many of them to be honest. A fake hype, a fake community around it.
And we also had NFTs. Non-fungible token. That's all people knew about it. If you don't know either, you can look it up here(You don't need to though!):
But there was one class of people that was really intriguing and those were the NFT bros. Those dudes who know less than you but are thought to be the gurus.
Usually, they ain't even tech geeks or nerds, they are just some random people with no technical background and on the hunt for instant money.
If you ever see one, they will be talking all about the money and the lifestyle they are going to have. OR something like that.
Vanished! phoooof.
They are on a hunt for newer trends to follow, fail miserably and probably also make others' lives hell.
But if you want to do just that, here's the guide:
And the thing is, people who fall for the bait are usually young people who do not have a proper career. And they do not have proper guidance and just want to earn.
Even those who are a part of it might not be totally conscious about what they are going for. The same goes for the people who joined MLM systems and lost their life savings.
So nowadays you will find those bros as AI gurus, selling people coaching on how to be a millionaire with the power of AI in one night. You will see courses like: “Write a book with AI and become a writer” OR “Write a novel in one day and become rich”.
Well if that's the case it makes writers useless, doesn't it? But that's where people failed. People try to make low-quality books with the help of AI and sell ebooks online and it doesn't work.
Although some people do use AI with creativity, which is the proper use of AI. It is not something related to morality but rather the necessity of it.
But anyway, we have gurus who do promise one-night success with anything that is new in the market, each time with a new personality and tricks.
But actually they are becoming a bit creative, nowadays their ads do not start with “one-night success”, it start by negating this statement and building the trust of thousands.
And by this, the people who actually teach stuff such as blockchain technology, and the Decentralization of the internet or AI and data science, never get the attention they deserve.
So let's start focusing on the real and actual skills that the market needs, such as software engineers, data scientists and analysts, financial experts and AI lawmakers.
This will help you in long-term success and actually give you something in return. Be careful of these frauds.
Hope fully if you are reading one medium, then you might not fall for the traps, because you reading on medium, means you are not on social media scrolling like maniacs.
Which is the symptom of a scamable person.
Also, to avoid such scams (which can be disastrous sometimes) make good friends and surround yourself with educated people in tech who actually know stuff. And do not hesitate to get a friendly suggestion.
